PRAANAH

The Five Pillars

Five pillars, one practice

Everything taught at PRAANAH sits inside these five. They are not modules to collect — they hold each other up.

Pillar 01

Breath

Learn to regulate your nervous system before you try to change anything else.

Breath is the only autonomic function you can take deliberate control of. That makes it the fastest, cheapest and most portable intervention available to a modern life — no equipment, no appointment, no belief system required.

We teach functional breathwork: nasal breathing, carbon dioxide tolerance, extended exhalation for downregulation, and paced practices for focus. Each is taught with the physiology behind it, so you know what you are doing and why.

Most people arrive breathing shallowly through the mouth, high in the chest, all day. Correcting that single pattern changes sleep, digestion, anxiety and endurance before any other pillar is touched.

Body at PRAANAH
Pillar 02

Body

Move for the next forty years, not for the next photograph.

Asana at PRAANAH is taught for longevity — joint health, spinal range, tendon resilience, balance and the unglamorous capacity to sit, squat and carry without pain at seventy.

We build from the ground: feet, hips, breath-linked spine work, and strength held long enough to matter. Nothing is performed. Nothing is competitive.

You will learn a short daily sequence tailored to your body and your working day, and how to adapt it when you are travelling, injured or short on time.

Food at PRAANAH
Pillar 03

Food

Ayurvedic principle, translated for a real kitchen and a real week.

Food is where most wellness advice collapses into impracticality. We start from what is already in your kitchen, your region and your season, then apply Ayurvedic logic — digestive strength, timing, temperature, combination — rather than importing an alien diet.

You will learn how to read your own digestion, what your constitution actually asks for, and how to cook three or four grounding meals well instead of thirty badly.

No supplements are sold here. No superfoods are imported. Nothing is prescribed that cannot be bought at a local market.

Pillar 04

Mind

Work with attention and rumination as skills, not moods.

Attention is trainable. So is the ability to notice a spiraling thought early enough to do something other than follow it.

We draw on both contemplative practice and contemporary psychology: attention training, cognitive defusion, structured reflection, and genuine rest — which is neither sleep nor scrolling.

The aim is not permanent calm. It is a shorter distance between disturbance and recovery.

Pillar 05

Elements

Align your day with light, season and circadian biology.

Your body runs on a clock set primarily by light. Most modern schedules quietly break that clock, and then treat the symptoms — poor sleep, afternoon collapse, appetite chaos — as separate problems.

We teach morning light exposure, evening light hygiene, meal timing, temperature and seasonal adjustment as one coherent rhythm.

It is the least fashionable pillar and often the one that changes the most, fastest.

The Weekend Workshop introduces all five pillars in two days — taught, not lectured.
